R.O.S.A: Linking STEM
Students to Industry

Founded in 2019, Raising Overachieving STEM Academics (R.O.S.A) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to bridging the gap between students of color and opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Inspired by the founder’s personal journey and a commitment to addressing educational inequities, R.O.S.A focuses on empowering underrepresented youth by providing access to hands-on STEM experiences, professional development, and mentorship opportunities.

Through innovative programming and strategic partnerships, R.O.S.A continues to inspire the next generation of STEM leaders, fostering diversity and inclusion in the future workforce.

“R.O.S.A was created in March of 2019. The organization is named after my grandmother Rosa Washington, who was a mathematician and oceanographer for NOAA.”
