Building Early Workforce Pipelines for Economic Mobility

Preparing students for real careers through financial literacy, STEM exposure, and industry partnerships.

Building Early Workforce Pipelines for Economic Mobility

Founded in 2019, Raising Overachieving STEM Academics (R.O.S.A.) is a nonprofit organization focused on building early workforce pipelines for students in underserved communities. What began as a mission to expand access to STEM has evolved into a broader commitment to financial literacy, career-connected learning, and economic mobility.

R.O.S.A. prepares students for real-world opportunity by providing hands-on exposure to STEM industries, financial education, mentorship, and direct engagement with corporate and community partners. Our programming bridges the gap between classroom learning and career readiness — equipping students with both the knowledge and confidence to navigate the future workforce.

Through strategic partnerships and structured programming, R.O.S.A. is cultivating the next generation of professionals, entrepreneurs, and leaders prepared to thrive in an evolving economy.

“R.O.S.A was created in March of 2019. The organization is named after my grandmother Rosa Washington, who was a mathematician and oceanographer for NOAA.”
