STEM Sundays #11

Welcome to #STEMSundays Series 11!

Meet Ibrahim Conteh, a San Jose, CA native, and a 2018 Morehouse Alumnus. In undergrad, Ibrahim studied computer science. As a freshman, he obtained a summer internship with Google as apart of the Engineering Practicum program. Every summer following Ib stayed loyal to the Google brand and worked as a software engineer at YouTube as well. Working within the YouTube music space and being an avid listener of music, inspired Ibrahim to create his own music application called Push Music, which allowed users from multiple devices to add music to a single playlist in real time. This venture lead to what is known as Push Playlists, a music blog dedicated to showcasing the intersection between music and people. As a man of the people, it was only right that Ib created another application dedicated to the advancement of the black community. In March 2019, Shea'd was born. Shea'd is an iOS application dedicated to helping people find black businesses in the Bay Area. With this application, he hopes to help increase black wealth and give exposure to black-owned businesses in the Bay Area. Ibrahim continues to serve the community, as an avid member of Dev Color and Code 2040. Being involved in the community did not take away from his studies, as he graduated Phi Beta Kappa, a member of the Morehouse College Honors Program, and a Morehouse Presidential Ambassador. Looking towards the future Ibrahim looks to stay in the world of technology as a software engineer and continue to use his passion for music and people to take the world by storm. Let’s congratulate Ibrahim on all of his accomplishments thus far!
