STEM Sundays #4

Welcome to #STEMSundays Series 4!

Meet Raegan Brown, a native of Tampa, FL, 2017 Spelman alumna and 2019 NCAT alumna. As a member of the dual-degree engineering program, Raegan received the special opportunity to obtain two STEM degrees from the #1 HBCU in the country with a degree in computer science and the #1 public HBCU in the country with a degree in computer engineering. With internships at Intel, AT&T and NASA Raegan has proven to be a strong engineer and gained a new interest in the world of animation during her time at NASA. An artist in her spare time, Raegan has utilized her engineering skills and artistic ability to become a world-class animator. She has been given the honor to enhance her animation skills by receiving a full scholarship sponsored by Intel and the GEM Consortium to attend USC within their Computer Science, Multimedia, and Creative Technologies program. Post-graduation she hopes to create a creative agency that serves as a safe space for black women to create freely and break into the field of virtual reality. Outside of the books, Raegan serves her community through active membership in her sorority Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and within organizations locally in Tampa.  Let’s congratulate Raegan on her accomplishments thus far!
